  • 1 pack of (407 g) "Baking mix for farmhouse bread
  • 1 (approx. 300 g) Vegetable Onion
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 350-400 g Sliced mountain cheese (e.g. French Comté or Swiss Gruyère)
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarse pepper
  • baking paper

Directions

    Knead the baking mix with yeast (enclosed in the package) and 300 ml of lukewarm water to form a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes

    Onion peel, in thin rings planes and/or cut. Roll out the dough on a little flour oval (approx. 25 x 34 cm). Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread onion rings on the dough. Let it rise for another 15 minutes

    Thickly cover bread with cheese slices. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) 30-35 Sprinkle with coarse pepper
