Quesadillas with cheese and chilli sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 Spring onions
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 250 g Tomato-Chili-Sauce (from the bottle)
  • 300 g Provolone cheese (without rind)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 4 discs Tortilla bread (Syrian flat bread)

Directions

    Wash the tomato, rub dry, quarter, seed and cut into small cubes. Clean and wash spring onions and cut them into diagonal rings. Peel garlic and chop finely. Mix tomato, spring onions, garlic and chili sauce.

    Grate the cheese roughly. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and place a tortilla in the hot oil. Spread 150 g cheese on top. Leave about 1 cm free at the edge. Cover with 2. tortilla. Fry for about 1 minute until the underside is golden brown.

    Then turn the tortillas with a pallet and fry the other side for 1-2 minutes. Remove the quesadillas from the pan and fry the remaining 2 tortillas and 150 g of cheese in the same way. Cut the quesadillas into 8 cake pieces each and serve with the chilli sauce.
