Exotic mulled wine

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Bottles (750 ml each) of dry white wine
  • 500 ml Orange juice
  • 2 Tea bags Glühfix (mixture of orange peel, cinnamon and clove)
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 80 ml Orange liqueur (e.g. Cointreau)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon sticks and star anise

Directions

    Bring the white wine, orange juice, tea bags and sugar to the boil, remove from the heat and allow to steep for about 10 minutes. Remove tea bags. Season mulled wine with the liqueur. Let it cool down and pour into bottles to give away. Instructions for warming up and attach a bag with small cinnamon sticks and steranis to the neck of the bottle
