Wash the woodruff, dab dry and, except for something to garnish, tie together with kitchen twine. Put 1/4 litre of white wine and woodruff syrup in a jug and add the woodruff. Leave to soak for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, wash the lime thoroughly, rub dry and cut into thin slices. Take out the bunch of woodruff and put the lime slices into the jug. Fill up with well chilled remaining wine and sparkling wine. Serve decorated with woodruff
