  • 100 g Baguette
  • 30 g Butter
  • 400 g Leeks (leek)
  • 100 g smoked streaky bacon
  • 150 Emmental cheese
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 1-2 stem(s) Parsley
  • some stem(s) Chives
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and breadcrumbs

Directions

    Cut the bread into slices and brush with butter. Roast in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 3 minutes. Clean, wash and cut leek into large pieces. Cut the bacon into strips and leave them crispy in a pan without fat. Add leek and fry for approx. 3 minutes.

    Grate cheese. Separate eggs. Mix egg yolk, cheese and cream. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the egg yolk and cheese mixture. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Grease an oven dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Add one half of the egg and cheese mixture. Spread slices of bread and leek-bacon mixture on top. Pour the rest of the egg-cheese mixture over it. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 35-40 minutes.

    Grease an oven dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Add one half of the egg and cheese mixture. Spread slices of bread and leek-bacon mixture on top. Pour the rest of the egg-cheese mixture over it. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 35-40 minutes. Wash the herbs. Finely chop the parsley, cut the chives into small rolls and sprinkle over the casserole
