Rheingau wine apples

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 30 g Raisins
  • 4 medium-sized apples (e.g. Cox Orange or Elstar)
  • 20 g Walnut kernels
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sugar
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 1 TEASPOON Butter
  • 1/4 l Riesling (e.g. from the Rheingau)

Directions

    Wash the raisins, dab dry with kitchen paper. Peel the apples and cut out the cores. Chop walnut kernels. Mix with raisins, sugar, cinnamon and soft fat.

    Fill apples with it. Place in an ovenproof dish and cook in a preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 30 minutes. In between, gradually pour the wine over the apples. Delicious with vanilla sauce
