Oven camembert with cranberry pears

Ingredients

  • 2 TABLESPOONS Walnut kernels
  • 6 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 2 Pears (approx. 150 g each; e.g. Gute Luise)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS liquid honey
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 4 (125 g each; minimum 45 % fat) Camemberts
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Wild cranberries (glass)

Directions

    Preheat oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Coarsely chop the walnuts. Wash thyme, shake dry and remove leaves. Wash the pears. Remove stalks. Slice or cut pears into thin slices, removing the seeds.

    Mix honey and lemon juice. Mix carefully with nuts, thyme and pears. Season with salt and pepper. Place 1 camembert in an ovenproof dish. Spread the pear mixture around it. Stir cranberries until smooth and pour over the pears.

    Bake in a hot oven for about 12 minutes. Then cut the surface of the camemberts crosswise with a sharp knife. Fold the corners carefully outwards. Continue baking at the same temperature for 8-10 minutes.
