Ingredients

  • 100 g dried apricots and apple rings
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 2 (175 g) Carrots
  • 75 g Raisins, 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 75 g ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g crushed hazelnuts
  • 150 g 5-grain cereal mixture, for example
  • 7-10 Tbsp "Multigrain Flakes", delicate
  • 4 Protein (Gr. M)
  • 100 g liquid honey
  • 100 g sugar (e.g. browner)
  • 6 square baking wafers (à 122 x 202 mm)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Clear film

Directions

    Wash dried fruit, dab dry and dice very finely. Wash the orange hot and rub off the peel. Halve the orange and squeeze one half. Peel, wash and finely grate the carrots. Wash the raisins and let them drip off. Raisins, dried fruit, orange peel, 2 tablespoons orange juice,

    Beat egg whites until stiff. Add honey and sugar bit by bit and continue beating until the sugar is completely dissolved. Mix with the cereal-fruit mixture. Simmer in a wide saucepan at low heat, stirring continuously, for about 20 minutes

    Place 3 baking wafers next to each other on cling film. Spread the still warm mixture evenly with wet hands and press on. Cover with the remaining wafers and press the corners well. Cover with foil and weigh down evenly (e.g. with a board and tins). Leave to stand at room temperature for at least 12 hours. Then cut each wafer into 5 strips (approx. 4 x 12 cm)

    The wafers keep well packed in the refrigerator for about 14 days
