Homemade sloe liqueur

Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 7-10 Tbsp of about 1 l capacity:
  • 250 g Sloes
  • 200 g white rock candy
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Star Anise
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 (0,7 l) Bottle of wheat grain (32 vol. %)
  • 7-10 Tbsp some sugar syrup

Directions

    Wash the sloes and dab dry. Score the sloes with a knife and fill them into a clean bottle (approx. 1 l content)

    Add candy, cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves to the sloes. Fill up with the wheat grain. Close the bottle and let it steep at room temperature for about 2 months. Shake occasionally

    Pour sloe liqueur through a very fine sieve (possibly lined with a gauze cloth) or a paper filter. Squeeze the berries lightly. Pour the liqueur into a clean bottle. If necessary, sweeten with some sugar syrup
