Gingerbread meringue apple

Ingredients

  • 50 g Walnut kernels
  • 50 g Gingerbread
  • 30 g dried cranberries
  • 4 TABLESPOONS cherry jam
  • 2 Apples (about 200 g each, e.g. Elstar)
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar

Directions

    Chop the walnuts for the filling. Dice gingerbread. Chop cranberries. Mix prepared ingredients and jam

    Wash apples, cut in half, remove core. Spread the cookie filling into the apple halves

    Place the apples in an ovenproof dish. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 30 minutes. Beat the egg white with the whisk of the hand mixer until stiff, adding 2 tbsp. sugar. After about 20 minutes, spread the beaten egg whites on the apple halves. Arrange the finished apples on plates
