Fried egg toast with bacon and maple syrup

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1⁄2 Federation Chives
  • 4 discs Whole grain toast
  • 8 discs Bacon
  • 2 TEASPOONS Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 TABLESPOON drizzle maple syrup

Directions

    Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Cut a circle (approx. 5 cm Ø) from the middle of each toast slice.

    Fry the bacon in a large coated pan without fat until crispy. Take out, keep warm. Heat 1 teaspoon butter in bacon fat. Add 2 bread circles and 2 slices of bread each. Beat 2 eggs and put them on the bread slices.

    Fry at low to medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Turn and fry for another 1-2 minutes. Season with pepper. Keep warm or fry all breads and bread circles in two pans at the same time.

    Arrange bread with bread circles and bacon. Possibly drizzle maple syrup over them and sprinkle with chives.
