Ingredients

  • 175 g Butter or margarine
  • 75 g Fructose
  • 7-10 Tbsp pulp of 1/2 vanilla pod
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated rind of 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cardamom
  • 300 g Spelt flour (health food store)
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 2 TABLESPOONS chopped hazelnut
  • baking paper

Directions

    Cream the fat with the whisk of the hand mixer. Gradually stir in fructose. Add vanilla pulp, egg, salt, lemon peel, cinnamon and cardamom and stir in as well. Mix flour and baking powder. Stir in 2/3 of it, knead in the rest. Form 2 rolls (approx. 2 cm Ø) from the dough, cover and refrigerate for approx. 2 hours. Cut each roll into 25 thick slices. Place the slices on two baking trays lined with baking paper, sprinkle with chopped nuts and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 12-15 minutes. Let them cool down

    THESE INGREDIENTS CAN BE EXCHANGED: Instead of the fruit sugar, stir 75 g brown sugar and 1 packet of bourbon vanilla sugar instead of -mark into the creamy fat. If you like, you can sprinkle the thalers with Grümmel candy, which are tiny pieces of candy
