Baked apple with marzipan-nut mixture and vanilla sauce

Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla flavor
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 50 g Walnut kernels
  • 75 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 25 g chopped almonds
  • 4 Apples (approx. 175 g each; e.g. Elstar)
  • 150 ml apple juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Boil 450 ml milk. Stir sauce powder, 2 tablespoons sugar and 50 ml milk until smooth. Stir into the boiling milk, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Stir several times. For the filling, chop the walnuts. Mix marzipan, egg white, almonds and nuts with the whisk of the hand mixer.

    Wash the apples, grate them dry and cut out the cores with a cookie cutter. Spread the marzipan-nut filling in it (it sticks together a bit). Place in an ovenproof casserole dish and pour on apple juice. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 1-1 1/4 hours. Cover the marzipan filling with aluminium foil after half the baking time. Remove baked apples from the oven and arrange on dessert plates with some sauce. Add the rest of the sauce
