Bacon and cabbage salad

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 1.2 kg young cabbage
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 75 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 collar Parsley
  • 1/8 l White wine vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Oil

Directions

    Clean the white cabbage, quarter it and remove the stalk. Wash cabbage and cut into fine strips. Peel and chop the onions. Finely dice the bacon as well. Wash parsley, dab dry and chop.

    Fry bacon and onions until golden brown. Deglaze with vinegar and bring to the boil. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Pour over the cabbage while still hot. Add oil and parsley and knead well. Cover and leave to stand for at least 30 minutes.

    Season to taste again before serving.
