Peel the onion. Finely dice onion and ham. Roast the nuts in a pan without fat, take them out. Heat the oil in the pan. Fry ham in it until crispy. Fry the onion briefly. Deglaze with vinegar. Season with pepper, sugar and possibly salt. Stir in the nuts and let it cool down a little
Turn the pellet cheese onto a tea towel and drain well. Clean, wash and drain the salads. Pluck into bite-sized pieces
Roughly dice the Schichtkäse and arrange on the salad. Pour lukewarm ham vinaigrette over it. Possibly garnish with basil. Serve with fresh farmhouse bread
Schichtkäse is a cream cheese with different layers, each with different fat levels. It also tastes good with goat's cream cheese
