Ingredients

  • 300 g sour apples (e.g. Boskop)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 250 g Flour
  • 3 TSP Baking Powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 coated Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 75 ml Oil
  • 150 ml Lemon Buttermilk
  • 1 package (75 g) Chocolate droplets
  • 7-10 Tbsp Paper baking cups
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cocoa and icing sugar

Directions

    Wash, peel and quarter apples. Cut out the core. Cut the flesh into small pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix flour and baking powder, sieve into a mixing bowl. Add salt, sugar, cinnamon, vanillin sugar, eggs, oil and buttermilk and work into a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer.

    Carefully fold in apple pieces and chocolate drops. Put 2-3 paper baking cups into each other and fill up to 3/4 with dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200°C/ gas: level 3) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve dusted with cocoa and icing sugar. Results in approx. 20 pieces
