Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 50 g Candied orange peel
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 TEASPOONS ground aniseed
  • 300 g Flour
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Sugar crystals
  • 125 g Dark chocolate coating
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper
  • 1 small freezer bag

Directions

  1. 1

Finely chop the candied orange peel. Beat eggs, sugar and salt until fluffy. Add aniseed and candied orange peel. Gradually knead in the flour with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Work into a smooth dough with your hands.

  2. 2

Cover and leave to cool for 3-4 hours. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of 2-3 mm. Cut out cookies about 5 cm in size in an S-shape. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread the cookies with milk and sprinkle with sugar crystals.

  3. 3

Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) one after the other for 15-17 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack. Melt the chocolate coating. Pour into a freezer bag, cut off a small corner and spray fine strips onto the aniseed cookies.

  4. 4

Leave a few cookies possibly without icing. Makes about 100 pieces.
