Prepare spaghetti in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Wash the basil, shake dry and cut the leaves into strips, except for 2 pieces for garnishing. Heat oil in a frying pan and toss the cherry tomatoes over medium heat for 2-3 minutes (until the tomatoes burst open), then add caper apples and season with salt and pepper.
Drain the pasta. Add basil strips and pasta to the pan, mix well and serve. Garnish with basil.
