White beans in tomato sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 9
  • 1 Vegetable Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 bunch Sage
  • 2 can(s) (each 425 ml, 250 g) white broad beans
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml, 800 g) peeled tomatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Pluck sage leaves from the stalks and chop coarsely. Drain the beans, rinse with cold water and drain. Fry onion, garlic and sage in hot oil for about 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and braise in an open pot for about 10 minutes, stirring continuously. Add beans, season with salt and pepper and cook for another 15 minutes
