Walnut sticks with white chocolate coating

Ingredients

  • 180 g soft butter or
  • 7-10 Tbsp Margarine
  • 100 g Icing sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 70 g ground
  • 7-10 Tbsp Hazelnuts
  • 1 1/2 TABLESPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 300 g white couverture
  • 40 g crushed pistachio kernels
  • baking paper

Directions

    Place the fat, icing sugar and vanillin sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix gently with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Stir in the egg. Mix the flour, hazelnuts and cocoa together and pour over the egg.

    Work through with the dough hooks until a smooth mass is obtained. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Pour the dough into a piping bag with a star-shaped spout and spray approx. 4 cm long sticks onto the baking tray.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack. Melt the chocolate coating in a hot water bath. Dip nut sticks up to half into the chocolate coating, sprinkle with pistachios and allow the chocolate coating to set.
