Ingredients

Servings: 65
  • 100 g pickled ginger (glass)
  • 200 g Walnut kernels
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 8 TABLESPOONS brown rum
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

    Chop the ginger finely. Finely grind 50 g walnuts in the universal chopper. Coarsely dice butter, knead with flour, ginger, egg, walnuts and salt to a smooth dough. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes. Then roll out to a thickness of approx. 3 mm on a lightly floured work surface. Cut out stars (6-7 cm Ø).

    Place on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake the trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 12-15 minutes. Take out and let cool down. Stir icing sugar and rum until smooth. Spread the biscuits with it, cover with walnut halves and let dry
