Ingredients

  • 650 g Apples (e.g. Boskop)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 5 TABLESPOONS apple juice
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 200 g brown bread or pumpernickel
  • 20 g Butter
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Raspberry Jam

Directions

    Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut the flesh into cubes. Put apple pieces, sugar, apple and lemon juice in a pot and bring to the boil. Let it boil down at low heat while stirring occasionally for 5-10 minutes to a chunky compote. Let the compote cool down.

    Finely crumble the brown bread. Melt butter in a pan, fry bread in it until crispy, let it cool down. Whip the cream until stiff and allow vanilla sugar to trickle in. Layer bread crumbs, compote, jam and cream in glasses, chill. Serve well chilled
