Strawberry and melon ice cream

Ingredients

  • 1 tweet melon
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Maple syrup (available in health food shops)
  • 125 g Whipped cream
  • 4 TSP Sugar
  • 1/2 package (500 ml) Walnut ice cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 4 Ice cream waffles

Directions

    Quarter melon. Remove seeds with a spoon. Peel the melon slices and cut the flesh into not too small pieces. Wash the strawberries and remove the stalks. Leave some nice fruits to decorate.

    Cut the remaining strawberries into pieces. Mix one half with maple syrup and let it soak through. Mix cream and 1 teaspoon sugar, whip until stiff. Pour into a piping bag and chill. Dip an ice cream scoop or a tablespoon into hot water and scrape 8 ice cream scoops or 8 large pieces of walnut ice cream. Place briefly in the freezer again. (Keep the rest of the ice cream in the freezer.) Mix the other half of the strawberries with lemon juice and the rest of the sugar and puree or crush with a fork. Fill the strawberry puree into four portion bowls. Place 2 ice cream scoops on each bowl. Spread melon and strawberry pieces over them.

    Place briefly in the freezer again. (Keep the rest of the ice cream in the freezer.) Mix the other half of the strawberries with lemon juice and the rest of the sugar and puree or crush with a fork. Fill the strawberry puree into four portion bowls. Place 2 ice cream scoops on each bowl. Spread melon and strawberry pieces over them. Spray cream pats onto each portion. Decorate with strawberries and ice cream wafers and serve immediately
