Finely dice the bacon. Peel garlic and chop finely. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water for 10-12 minutes and drain. Put cheese, egg and cream in a bowl and mix.
Season with salt and pepper. Cut basil into strips. Fry bacon and garlic in a pan without fat at medium heat for 3-4 minutes until crispy. Add the noodles to the pan. Pour sauce over them and let everything simmer briefly.
Mix pasta, bacon and sauce well together. Arrange on a plate, sprinkle with basil and serve garnished with parmesan slices and basil as desired.
