Prepare candy cane vodka (yields approx. 750 ml): The day before, pour 700 ml vodka and 5 medium-sized candy canes (each 13 cm long) into a high container (approx. 1 l). The next day (the candy canes should have completely dissolved) pour the vodka carefully into the clean bottle. Make sure that the cloudy substances are left behind. Close the bottle. Shelf life approx. 1 year.
For the Santa in the City, dip the edges of the glasses slightly in water, let them drain and press them into the coconut flake. Turn them upside down and let them dry a little. Put ice cubes and frozen cranberries in four glasses. Mix cranberry nectar, Cointreau and candy-cane vodka and pour into the glasses.
