Ingredients

Servings: 18
  • 7-10 Tbsp You need this for about 18 small & large reindeer each:
  • 200 g cold butter
  • 325 g + some flour
  • 50 g ground hazelnuts
  • 125 g + 100 g + some icing sugar
  • 1 slightly heaped Tsp Cocoa
  • 1 egg , 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp red sugar beads, brown and red sugar writing
  • baking paper, 1 small plastic bag

Directions

  1. 1

Cut the butter into small pieces and put them into a mixing bowl with 325 g flour, nuts, 125 g icing sugar, cocoa and egg. Knead everything first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer and then briefly with your hands to form a smooth dough. Cover and leave to cool for about 30 minutes. Then preheat the oven: Electric cooker: 175 °C/ circulating air: 150 °C/ gas: level 2

  2. 2

Line 2-3 baking trays (or even the grease pan of the oven) with baking paper. Roll out the dough on a little flour about 1/2 cm thick. Use large and/or small reindeer cutters to cut out biscuits and place them on the baking trays. Bake them one after the other for about 12 minutes.

  3. 3

Take the cookies off the tray and let them cool down. Mix 100 g icing sugar and juice to a smooth glaze. Fill it into the plastic bag, cut off a small corner and use it to spray nose, mouth, eyes, antlers, tail and hooves

  4. 4

Glue red pearls as nose tips into the cast. Knead the tubes with sugar writing until they are soft. Paint eyes with brown writing and with the red necklace. Let everything dry. Dust the reindeer with icing sugar
