For the groats, rinse berries cold and clean or sort them. Chop the strawberries as desired. Put berries, sugar, cinnamon, lemon and currant juice in a pot and bring to the boil.
Stir starch and red wine until smooth. Add to the fruit and bring to the boil while stirring. Leave to swell over low heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool down. Stir several times in between.
Defrost vanilla ice cream about 1 hour before consumption and serve with red fruit jelly.
