Pork steak with creamed pointed cabbage

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 800 g baby potatoes
  • 1 Pointed cabbage (à 1 kg)
  • 4 Onions
  • 3 TABLESPOONS clarified butter
  • 50 g Diced ham
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Nutmeg
  • 8 Pork neck steaks (approx. 75 g each)

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and boil in water for about 20 minutes. Clean, wash, halve and cut the cabbage into strips. Peel the onions. Dice 1 onion, cut the rest into fine rings.

    Heat 1 tablespoon of clarified butter in a wide saucepan. Fry diced ham until crispy. Fry onion cubes and cabbage for about 5 minutes. Add cream and about 100 ml water. Bring to the boil, cover and stew for about 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

    Dab meat dry. Heat 2 tablespoons of clarified butter in a large pan. Fry the steaks in it in 2 portions on each side for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Take out, keep warm. Fry onion rings in hot frying fat for about 5 minutes until crispy. Arrange everything.
