Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cube (42 g) Yeast
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1/4 l Milk
  • 75 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1.5 kg Plums
  • 50 g crushed almonds
  • 75 g Sugar crystals

Directions

    Put flour and salt in a bowl. Stir yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar until liquid. Add remaining sugar and liquid yeast to the flour. Heat the milk and melt the fat in it. Add lukewarm milk-fat mixture and egg to the flour and knead all ingredients to a smooth dough.

    Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Wash, quarter and stone the plums. Knead the dough well again. Grease the fat pan of the oven and roll out the dough. Sprinkle dough with almonds. Spread the plums on the dough with the open side facing upwards. Sprinkle 50 g of sugar crystals on top and let it rise in a warm place for another 15 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 35-40 minutes. Let the cake cool down, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and serve.

Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 35-40 minutes. Let the cake cool down, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and serve. Results in about 20 pieces
