Pear Chocolate Cappuccino Flummery

Ingredients

  • 1 kg medium ripe pears
  • 100 ml Lemon juice
  • 200 g Dark chocolate
  • 3 packages Chocolate Flavoured Pudding Powder
  • 4 heaped Tbsp Cappuccino powder
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1,5 l Milk
  • 2 TABLESPOONS flaked almonds
  • 150 g Whipped cream
  • 1 TEASPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint

Directions

    Peel, quarter, core and cut the pears into slices. Boil 200 ml water and lemon juice. Steam pears for about 2 minutes. Take them out with a skimmer and let them drip off. Chop chocolate into cubes. Put pear slices on the bottom of a bowl (content 2.5 litres). Stir pudding powder, cuppuccino powder and sugar with 200 ml milk until smooth. Bring 1.3 litres of milk to the boil, remove from the stove and stir in the mixed powder. Cook the pudding for about 2 minutes while stirring. Fold in chocolate (except 2 tablespoons for decorating). Pour the pudding immediately onto the pears and leave to set for about 3 hours. Roast the flaked almonds in a pan without fat until golden brown. Whip the cream until stiff and pour it on the pudding. Spread the flaked almonds and chocolate chips on the cream topping. Dust the flaked almonds with icing sugar. Decorate with mint
