Oatmeal waffles with fruit quark and brittle

Ingredients

  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 200 g Butter or margarine
  • 225 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (weight category 2)
  • 150 g Flour
  • 150 g Cornstarch
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 50 g Oatmeal
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 500 g Edible curd
  • 1 tin(s) (425 g; part by weight: 250 g) Fruit Cocktail
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chocolate flakes

Directions

    Wash lemon with hot water and dab dry. Rub the peel e thinly. Beat the fat with the whisk of the hand mixer until foamy. Add the grated lemon zest, 200 g sugar, 1 packet of vanillin sugar and salt and mix everything together. Stir the eggs into the fat mass one after the other. Mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder and oat flakes and stir in. Fold in 4 tablespoons of milk. Preheat the waffle iron and spread some oil on it with a brush. Place a ladle of dough in the middle and press it slightly flat. Close the lid and bake the waffle for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Bake another 11 waffles from the remaining dough. For the fruit quark mix quark, remaining milk, sugar and vanilla sugar. Drain the fruit and fold into the quark. Sprinkle the waffles with icing sugar and arrange on a plate with the quark and chocolate flakes
