Ingredients

Servings: 15
  • 100 g dried apricots
  • 100 g dried apple rings
  • 1 Orange
  • 175 g Carrots
  • 2 TABLESPOONS freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 30 g Sesame
  • 75 g ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g crushed hazelnuts
  • 75 g Raisins
  • 150 g Multigrain Flakes
  • 4 Protein (size M)
  • 100 g liquid honey
  • 100 g demerara sugar
  • 6 Square baking wafers (20x12 cm)

Directions

  1. 1

Dice apricots and apple rings very finely. Wash the orange thoroughly with hot water, dab dry and finely grate the skin. Clean, wash and finely grate the carrots. Mix carrots, apple, apricots, orange peel, sesame, nuts, raisins and multi-grain flakes.

  2. 2

Place the egg whites in a mixing bowl and whisk until stiff with the whisks of the hand mixer. Add honey and sugar and beat for another 10-15 minutes (the sugar must be dissolved). Pour the egg white mixture into a wide, shallow saucepan.

  3. 3

Fold in the grain-fruit mixture and let everything simmer at low heat (stove: levels 1-12, levels 4.5 used), stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 24-25 minutes. Place three wafers side by side on a kitchen board.

  4. 4

Divide the still warm mixture into thirds and spread it evenly on the wafers and press it down (it sticks, but works best with your hands). Place one of the remaining wafers on each muesli slice and press down (especially the corners).

  5. 5

Place a heavy board on top (weigh down evenly with approx. 2 kg) and leave to stand overnight (at least 12 hours) at room temperature. Then cut each rectangle into 5 strips (4x12 cm).
