Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 discs Toast
  • 8 Cornichons
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 TABLESPOON medium hot mustard
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Roasted onions
  • 16 discs Bacon
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil

Directions

    Soak toast in cold water. Finely dice the gherkins. Squeeze the toast well and knead with minced meat, egg, cucumber cubes, mustard, salt, pepper and fried onions. Form 4-8 meatballs with your hands.

    Wrap 2 slices of bacon crosswise around the meatballs. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs on both sides for approx. 6 minutes at medium heat.
