Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 3 small onions
  • 400 g mixed mince
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, 1-2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 (250 g) Baguette-Brot
  • 100 g Tomato-Chili-Salsa (from the jar)
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 150 g Feta cheese or Gouda

Directions

  1. 1

Soak the buns. Peel and finely dice one onion. Onion cubes with minced meat and expressed roll knead, season. Form 4 meatballs from the minced meat mixture. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the meatballs for about 6 minutes on each side

  2. 2

Quarter the baguette and cut it open. Spread the bread quarters with tomato and chilli salsa. Cut remaining onions into rings

  3. 3

Remove the meatballs and cut them in half horizontally. Wash the tomatoes. Cut tomatoes and cheese into slices

  4. 4

Cover the lower bread halves with onions, meatballs, tomatoes and cheese. Bake in the preheated oven on the highest setting or under the hot grill for 3-5 minutes. Place the upper bread halves on top and bake briefly

  5. 5

You can prepare the croques very well: Fry the meatballs beforehand, slice the onions, tomatoes and cheese. Put everything covered in a cool place
