Mashed potatoes with tomato paste

Ingredients

  • 1 kg floury potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 3 Stem(s) Basil
  • 1/4 l Milk
  • 3-4 Tbsp Tomato paste
  • 30 g Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Peel, wash and quarter the potatoes. Cook in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. Wash the basil and chop the leaves coarsely. Drain potatoes. Add milk, tomato paste and fat and mash to puree.

    Fold in basil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
