Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 l White wine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp fresh or dried herbs
  • 12 Chicken legs
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Honey
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 75 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon wedges

Directions

    Squeeze the lemon. Mix juice, white wine, salt, pepper and herbs. Add the meat to the marinade and leave to stand for approx. 2 hours, turning from time to time. Remove the chicken legs, pat dry, place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes.

    Mix honey and oil, brush the meat with it from time to time. Cut the bacon into cubes and fry in a pan until golden brown. Remove meat, arrange in a bowl, add diced bacon and garnish with lemon wedges.
