Ingredients

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 125 g Butter
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 200 g Icing sugar
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp pink and green food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp to decorate red and brown sugar writing

Directions

    Quickly work flour, salt, vanillin sugar, butter, egg and sugar with cold hands to a smooth dough. Cover and chill for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured work surface. Cut out 15 piglets and 15 clovers. Place the cookies on two baking trays lined with baking paper.

    Bake the trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3). Let them cool down on a cake rack. Mix icing sugar with lemon juice. Spread evenly on three bowls. Colour one part pink with food colouring, one light green and one dark green. Brush the piggy with the pink icing. Brush the clover leaves with the light green glaze and immediately dab dots of dark green glaze on them. Use a toothpick to draw streaks from the spots. Let the cookies dry.
