Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1/8 l Milk
  • 1/2 cube (21 g) Yeast
  • 250 g Flour
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 2 Egg Yolk
  • 25 g Butter or margarine
  • 500 g white cooking fat for frying
  • 100 g Honey

Directions

  1. 1

Heat the milk lukewarm. Crumble yeast into it and dissolve it. Put the flour in a bowl and make a depression in the middle. Add yeast milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix with some flour to a pre-dough.

  2. 2

Cover and leave in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Add the remaining sugar, egg yolk and soft fat and work everything into a smooth dough. Let it rise again for another 30 minutes. Heat the cooking fat in a pot.

  3. 3

Use tablespoons to cut off balls from the dough and deep-fry them in hot fat until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper, turn in honey while still hot and serve warm.
