Honey Chilli Pumpkin

Ingredients

  • 2 kg Pumpkin
  • 100 g Shallots or small onions
  • 2-3 red chillies
  • 1/2 bunch Dill
  • 200 g liquid honey
  • 200 g sugar (e.g. browner)
  • 3/8 l White wine vinegar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Allspice seeds
  • 1 TABLESPOON Mustard seeds
  • 3-4 bay leaves, salt

Directions

    Cut the pumpkin into pieces, remove seeds, cut into slices and peel. Cut the flesh into large cubes. Peel the shallots

    Wash the chilli and pat dry. Wash the dill and dab the pennants

    Bring 3/8 l water, honey, sugar, vinegar, spices, chilli and approx. 1/2 teaspoon salt to the boil. Add the pumpkin and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the shallots and dill for the last 2-3 minutes

    Pour the pumpkin immediately with the brew in prepared glasses, covering it completely with the brew. Seal and let stand for at least 2-3 days
