Liver with apples and onions

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 6 Apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp (to 100 g)
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 7-10 Tbsp liquid sweetener
  • 4 Onions
  • 7-10 Tbsp (à 40 g)
  • 4 discs (100 g each) Liver of beef
  • 2 tablespoons (15 g each) Flour
  • 2 tablespoons (10 g each) Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper

Directions

    Washing apples. Peel 3 apples, halve, core and cut into slices. Steam with the cinnamon stick in 1/8 litre water for about 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and season the compote with sweetener.

    Core the remaining apples with an apple corer and cut into slices. Peel onions and cut them into rings. Wash liver, dab dry and turn in flour. Heat the fat and fry the liver on each side for about 4 minutes.

    Remove, season with salt and pepper and keep warm. Add onion rings and apple rings to the frying fat and fry in it. Add liver again and serve together. Add the apple compote.
