Lime and mint ice tea

Ingredients

  • 4-5 untreated limes
  • 2 pots Mint
  • 2 TABLESPOONS green tea
  • 6-7 TABLESPOONS demerara sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Ice cube

Directions

    Wash the limes, dab dry and cut one into slices. Squeeze 2 limes. Wash the mint and dab dry. Pluck leaves from a pot. Put lime slices, mint leaves and tea in a large container and boil 2 litres of boiling water over them. Leave to stand for about 20 minutes.

    Pour tea through a sieve and mix with sugar and lime juice (approx. 6 tablespoons). Let it cool down and put it in a cool place. Cut remaining limes into thin slices. Add to the cooled tea with ice cubes. Serve garnished with remaining mint

    Tip: You can also freeze mint leaves or lime pieces in the ice cubes
