Kwaai Braai Pie

Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 7-10 Tbsp 2 x 500 g puff pastry (finished product)
  • 1 collar Spinach, roughly cut
  • 3 g
  • 250 g Bacon , diced (Bacon)
  • 250 g Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 yellow peppers, seeded and sliced
  • 10 Piquanté peppers, cut (Peppadew)
  • 1/2 cup(s) Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup(s) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup(s) Mozzarella, grated
  • 7-10 Tbsp Freshly ground salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

    Roll out the dough and cut into two equal pieces.

    Fry the onions, bacon and peppers in olive oil and season to taste.

    Layer the ingredients on a piece of dough in the following order: half of the raw spinach, the smoked chicken, onions, bacon, peppers, Peppadew mixture, mushrooms, spread the three cheeses and then add the remaining spinach.

    Cover with the second layer of dough. Close both dough pieces together and form a package. Brush both sides with olive oil.

    Place the cake in a grill basket and close it carefully - but do not lock it, otherwise the pie will be squashed. Bake for about 15 minutes over the coals. Turn regularly until it is golden brown.
