Grilled rump steak on rocket salad with fine Parmesan shavings and garlic baguette

Ingredients

  • 1 Rump steak without fat rim (150 g)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 TEASPOON Olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 20 g Baguette bread
  • 50 g Rocket
  • 5 g Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Shallot
  • 1 TABLESPOON Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarse pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Wash the meat, dab dry and season with salt. Coat meat thinly with 1/4 teaspoon of oil. Grill in a hot grill pan for about 3 minutes on each side. In the meantime peel garlic and cut into thin slices.

    Mix 1/2 teaspoon of oil and garlic. Spread bread with garlic oil and season with salt. Remove meat from the pan, wrap in aluminium foil and leave to rest. Roast bread in the grill pan.

    Clean the rocket, wash it and shake it dry. Cut Parmesan cheese into fine shavings with a kitchen slicer. Peel the shallot and cut into thin strips. Mix lemon juice, salt, pepper, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon oil and shallot.

    Mix carefully with the salad and the cheese shavings. Cut the meat into slices. Arrange meat, bread and salad. Sprinkle meat with coarse pepper.
