Crumble strips with blackberry and orange

Ingredients

  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 225 g Butter
  • 225 g Flour
  • 125 g Wheat semolina
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 350 g Blackberries
  • 1 TABLESPOON Starch flour
  • 50 g Walnut kernels
  • 2 TABLESPOONS demerara sugar
  • baking paper

Directions

    Orange hot wash, dry grate, peel thinly. Cut butter into cubes. Knead flour, semolina, 100 g sugar, orange peel and butter into crumbles. Spread a little more than half of the crumbles in a square baking tin (20 x 20 cm) lined with baking paper and press down.

    Sort blackberries. Mix 25 g sugar and starch flour. Halve the orange and squeeze the juice of one half. Stir starch mixture and juice until smooth. Use the rest of the orange for other purposes. Carefully mix the blackberries and starch and spread on the floor.

    Finely chop the walnuts and knead them into the remaining crumbles. Spread the crumbles on the berries and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 45 minutes.

    Remove from the oven, allow to cool, remove from the mould and cut into pieces.
