Finely dice the bacon. Peel and finely chop the onion. Cut the chilli lengthwise, remove seeds, wash and cut into rings. Chop tomatoes with a knife in a tin. Heat oil and fry bacon, onion and chilli in it.
Add canned tomatoes and season sauce with salt and pepper. Let it boil down at high heat for about 5 minutes. In the meantime clean, wash and seed the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes. Stir into the sauce.
Season to taste again with salt and Sambal Oelek.
