Ingredients

  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 400 g Gyros
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp freshly ground white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 100 g Spring onions
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 package (360 g) Dough for pizza and vegetable dough
  • 2 TABLESPOONS grainy mustard
  • 75 g grated medieval Gouda cheese
  • 1-2 stem(s) Thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp Basil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat oil in a pan, add gyros, onion and garlic and fry for 5-6 minutes while turning. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Remove from the pan and let it cool down a little. Meanwhile clean, wash and cut spring onions into rings. Clean, wash and slice the tomatoes.

    Mix the dough and roll out into a rectangle (30x25 cm) on a lightly floured work surface. Cut the dough sheet in half lengthwise and place them side by side on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with mustard, spread gyros, spring onions and tomatoes on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 18 minutes. Wash the thyme, dab dry and pluck the leaves from the stalks. Take the pizza out of the oven, sprinkle with thyme and serve garnished with basil
