Crunchy wheat salad with Gouda

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 125 g Wheat
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) chunky italian beans
  • 1 collar Spring onions
  • 1 green salad (e.g. romaine lettuce)
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 Tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 4-5 Tbsp Oil (e.g. germ oil)
  • 50 g Gouda cheese (e.g. medieval)

Directions

    Soak wheat in approx. 1/2 l cold water overnight

    Add salt and cook wheat covered in soaking water for about 30 minutes. Drain and let cool off

    Drain the beans. Clean, wash and drain spring onions and salad. Put 2-3 leaves of the salad aside if necessary. Cut the rest of the salad into strips. Cut spring onions into fine rings. Clean, wash and halve the tomatoes

    Mix vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar. Whip the oil into the mixture. Mix wheat, beans, lettuce strips, tomatoes and spring onions with the marinade

    Line a large bowl with salad leaves. Arrange wheat salad on top. Sprinkle with sliced Gouda
