Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 1 collar (approx. 100 g) Woodruff
  • 2 bottles (0.75 l each) dry white wine
  • 2 Organic lemons
  • 1 bottle (0.75 l) semi-dry champagne
  • 7-10 Tbsp Kitchen yarn

Directions

  1. 1

Tie the woodruff with kitchen twine, let it dry overnight or freeze it briefly.

  2. 2

Put white wine in a container and hang the woodruff upside down. It is important that the stem ends remain above the surface of the wine, otherwise the Maibowle will become bitter. Chill for about 1 hour and let it steep.

  3. 3

Wash the lemons thoroughly, grate them dry and cut them into slices. Remove woodruff and add lemon slices. Top up with well chilled sparkling wine.
