Ingredients

  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 4-5 dried red chillies
  • 1 TABLESPOON Olive oil
  • 1 TABLESPOON White wine vinegar
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Oregano
  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cumin
  • 1/2 TEASPOON brown cane sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Onion rings

Directions

    Clean, wash and dice the peppers. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Chop the chillies. Steam everything in hot oil for about 10 minutes. Puree with a blender. Season with vinegar, oregano, cumin, sugar and salt.

    Pour into a small bowl and garnish with onion rings. Serve hot or cold with grilled meat, vegetables or Mexican chips.
