Chicken liver with braised onions

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Onions
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 10 g Butter
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Honey
  • 1/8 l Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 750 g Broccoli
  • 500 g Chicken liver
  • 7-10 Tbsp dried marjoram
  • 7-10 Tbsp Marjoram

Directions

    Peel onions and cut them into rings. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and butter in a pan. Brown the onions. Add honey and broth and let the onions braise for about 5 minutes.

    Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep onion vegetables warm. Clean and wash broccoli, divide into florets and cook in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Clean and wash the chicken liver and pat dry.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the liver in it all around for about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and marjoram. Drain the broccoli. Arrange onions, liver and broccoli on plates.

    Serve garnished with marjoram. Parsley potatoes taste good with it.
